Some of it blows ass and some of it I still like
This one doesn't have a name, I just had these two lines pop into my head when I was thinking about people's perceptions of God.
I'll put you through all the pain and hate. I am your god, your determined fate. You take my orders, you better listen well. Or i'll send you into a burning hell.
This one's probably my favorite i've ever written called Your Face Revealed. It's about my struggle with my personal beliefs.
I have sought you forever just to see your face revealed
This yearning inside me to show these things concealed
This hopeless struggle to find you seems to be drawing me farther away
All I want is to see you to meet you face to face
My faith is growing weaker day by day
My hope is fading faster in every way
My endless search for truth in a world full of truth behind lies
The hatred i've seen for so long resembles everything that I despise
My faith is growing weaker day by day
My hope is fading faster in every way
This one has more of the same feeling that Not Who He Is has as far as the writing style. Big words, very black metal-ish. It just started coming to me, and I put it down. It's about a little of everything, really. It's called Mankind, it's basically about how shitty society has gotten in every way. Some of it's about idiots like Fred Phelps which is very obvious in the third verse, and then some of it's about these people who believe that everything is right and wrong, that there is no middle ground where a decision is up to you and harms no one, and then some of it is about our politics and how everybody's too busy bitching at eachother to actually work together and get some stuff accomplished.
Encompassed by the fear of a lost civilization
The beauty of mankind has vanished without remorse
An age of ignorance, disguised as tolerance
Lost in the paradox of spiritual politics
“God help us”
“God help us”
The corruption and suffering of a paralyzed race
Grasping to the hope that one day it will change
An unjustified hate between those of difference
Opinions being used for verbal warfare
“God help us”
“God help us”
Cults of a false god raised under a banner of hate
Condemning those around them, fear used as persuasion
Campaigning their beliefs with every known venue
Acting as though they were ever wanted in the first place
Believing flawed philosophies of black and white
Without gray, a world of no circumstance
Eye for eye now eye for tooth
Punishment is no longer necessary
And this one I wrote recently. Pat and Tim have read it but I don't think anybody has seen it. This is basically about corporate drones and how especially in America if you don't look, act, and talk like the typical American poster child, you're pretty much screwed in everyway.
Obey their rules and you'll be fine
Otherwise you're just worthless swine
Insects that need to be exterminated
Put on our manufactured masks
If you don't, your wealth won't last
Be one of us or die with the dogs
Fake
Fake
Fake
The undying world of conformity
Fake
Fake
Serve the robots
If you strip out this hollow shell
You'll find who I was before I fell
Into this void of malcontent
Seperation from myself
Is leading to my own little hell
A life of smiling faces
And faceless lies
Fake
Fake
Fake
The undying world of conformity
Fake
Fake
Serve the robots
And I think everyone's seen this one. It's short, but it gets to the point and it means alot to me personally. I'll explain it if you're curious.
Your Love My Hate
Their Perception My Reality
Your Peace My War
Defeat Marked Embrace
My Hands(3x)
Condemn Degrade
My Hands Your Death
Nailing Deeper
Your Damnation
My Hands(3x)
